110 blogs

April has started in style this year but I guess it always starts that way because of this first day of the month. As I am approaching my third anniversary we are talking about months of course, I am going to do a research using the sample of 110 blogs. These blogs are in the list of my followers.

I am going to look at several things which will help me to come up with a theory that can help us blog better, avoiding mistakes that have been done repeatedly by those who started before us. To start with I am going to observe the following

  • When was the blog started
  • Domain name,  free or paid
  • Hosting, WordPress or self
  • Following/ Ranking
  • Theme used
  • Interaction rate

From these details I can get some insight on what others do, common mistakes and basics that everyone should follow.

You are welcome to add some inputs

  1. hi – i noticed you visiting my site several times, but never leaving a ‘like’ or a comment – can you please tell me if your are working with wordpress on the problems I am having with formatting and ‘edit lite’, or are you including me in this survey?

I have been asking for help and an update from wordpress technical on whether they have worked out what they have/had got wrong on ‘edit lite’, or whether it was something else in the matala theme – no one has bothered to contact me – so I was wondering whether you were part of the team, doing some checks??

    1. Really?
I am surveying blogs that follow me I am not sure if you are in the list.
When did that problem start, after changing a theme?
Do you face the problem using a tablet/smartphone or even with laptop or any other device?

      1. it seems to happen when I’ve saved part of the post, and continue writing. Until I was told about it, I couldn’t work out what on earth was happening, but apparently, if you switch from classic edit mode to ‘edit lite’, is doesn’t save the spacing, and the blogs get mangled – see “a test on chrome” on julzcrafts.com – and the few posts before and after that! If you have any idea what’s happening, I be glad to hear from you – I’m working on a mac laptop – so it s nothing to do with small displays.

As far as I know, I have never even read your blog before I saw you on my blog roll, not one, but several times – this gets stranger and stranger!
